We do it the other way round. You send us whatever you have on a procedure – the paragraph from the examination regulations, a leaflet, a Visio, an export from the old system. What comes back is the procedure as a running process: application form, roles, inboxes for the examinations office and the board, deadlines, reminders, notices. And the AI has played it through beforehand as every participating role – student, student office, examinations office, examination board, department.

Registration deadline, deadline for missing documents, appeal deadline: in the play-through they are actually triggered and measured, not skipped. You see when the reminder went to the student, when the escalation went to the examinations office – and whether the notice was really issued after the deadline passed.
Skipped stages are caught before they become an appeal.
After the play-through the AI reads the stored state, not the display. An application that sits in the right inbox and has triggered the right mail, but left out a required review stage, is found – before the first real application.

Built first, then modelled
The procedure comes into being first as a running process – from your material, by the AI, in hours rather than months. The BPMN 2.0 diagram comes afterwards and is correct because it is generated from the running process. It goes back into your modelling environment, with diagram information.
